This was
one of the last instruments to come from Guild's Westerly,
Rhode Island, plant. It has been used a little but is as
near to Mint as you can get with just a few very light and
hardly noticeable polishing swirls and some some light
marking on the pickguard - that's all.
Gently
flamed maple has been used for the top, back and sides with
a three piece, highly flamed, Maple neck. The fingerboard
is Rosewood with mother of pearl block inlay and a bone
nut. All hardware is 100% original and gold plated,
including Guild adjustable humbucking pickups. etched harp
style tailpiece and Grover Rotomatic tuners. The carved,
compensated bridge is in solid Ebony. Body size at lower
bout:16" x 2 1/2" thick. Scale length: 24 3/4" Nut width:
1 11/16'
Guild stopped making this model a few years ago, so prices
are now rising and can only go up in value as those in the
know start to search for these much under-rated guitars.
Thinline Manhattans in this condition are very hard to find
and are highly sought after. Whilst a great Jazz
guitar, this gorgeous twin pickup model
makes it very versatile.
