Vintage Bridges #201 #202 #203 #204
#205 #206 and #207.
These are all genuine
Hofner Bridges, made in Germany (not copies or Chinese
made Briges).
All, except #203, are NOS (unused) or brand new,
purchased diredt from Hofner during a visit in 2010.
#201 Early Club/124 Bridge in Rosewood.
Very rare.
This is unused from the
50's and still needs its fret-wire saddles. Just
like new. Exquisite.
#202 Type 72/18 Bridge for Senator or Congress.
Like new and unused
- still does not have string slots cut in saddle.
It has more sculptured sides than later models and so is
probably from the 50's.
#203 Type 72/18a Bridge with plastic sliding saddles.
SOLD
Rosewood (not
plastic) bridge incorporating sliding saddles. It was
Hofner's first attempt to allow for accurate string
intonation. Unused.
Exactly right for your 50's restoration.
#203a Type 72/18a Ebony Bridge with plastic sliding saddles.
SOLD
New Old Stock.
Just like #203 above but in Ebony. I bought these directly from Hofner a long while ago but
have not used them. Unused.
#204 The saddle from a 50's/60's small body archtop.
#206 Type 72/20 Bridge for Committee.
SOLD
New Old Stock.
I bought these directly from Hofner a long while ago but
have not used them. Saddles have not been
cut for string slots.
#207 Type 72/20 Rosewood Bridge for Committee etc.
This type of bridge,
(ike the Committee but in Rosewood) was used only on
Hofner's Custom large archtops built in the 60's and 70's.
It is extremely rare and perfect if you need to replace such
a bridge.
It is
Vintage "New Old Stock".
I bought it from a German guitar maker about 12 years ago
and it has never been used. Saddles have not been
cut for string slots.
